Dr. Paula L. Schwartz
I believe that the education of the person with tinnitus and/or hyperacusis is paramount to their success in living with these issues. Many other organizations offer tinnitus treatments and promises of miracle cures, but very few provide a full array of services, experience and professional expertise that this clinic offers. At each tinnitus assessment, our patient not only receives a thorough Audiological evaluation done by me, but specific testing necessary to assess the tinnitus and the affects that it has on their quality of life.
I feel that there is no one tinnitus treatment that is suitable for every person, therefore, it is important that our patients understand the variety of options available. We continually stay abreast of new products on the market to add to our arsenal of tools for the tinnitus patient.
This clinic also works closely with the medical community to ensure that our patients have been thoroughly medically evaluated prior to their appointment with us. This three way relationship between physician, patient and audiologist ensures that the tinnitus is managed medically in addition to any services and products that we provide. After the assessment and completion of treatment, the physician is informed through reports as the results and choices made.”
